POSITION SUMMARY

This position is Essential and is required to report to duty
before, during, and immediately after a civil emergency.
Attends to and cares for animals housed in City facilities. Must be
able to work a flexible schedule. Facilitates the development of
public trust and confidence in the City.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skill and/or Ability Required:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an
acceptable equivalency diploma required. One to three month's
experience in handling animals with care and compassion without
becoming emotionally involved. Valid Florida Driver's License and
maintenance of clean driving record required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must
regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or
move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to
loud.
