Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client seeking a Field Technician in the Port St. Lucie, FL area. Responsibilities Installs equipment including but not limited to cameras, detectors, controller cabinets. Installs electrical conductor, data conductor, fiber optic cable, pull boxes, conduit, poles and foundations Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment Tests devices to ensure they work correctly. Prepares and completes reports, logs and performs shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices. Responds to corrective maintenance requests or alarms within an acceptable time frame. Diagnoses and repairs hardware, software, and system issues Reports the technical status of the system with accuracy and completeness. Restores equipment to operational status as quickly as possible. Module or PC Board swap out Isolation of faults in units or components Field test of units or components tests devices to ensure they work correctly. Maintenance of spare equipment and parts following established procedures REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED equivalent One year Certificate from College or technical school preferred Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience Must obtain a CDL Class B within six months of starting employment Through knowledge of current desktop technologies and communications software, including windows 2000, XP, serial communications, and TCPIP concept Knowledge with requesting and performing utility Locates AC DC Electricity experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
