Job Description:
HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital, a cornerstone of healthcare
within our community, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered
Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our dynamic team. In this role,
you will be entrusted with the responsibility of providing
top-notch respiratory care to patients in a diverse range of
medical settings. Our hospital is committed to delivering

professionals to maintain the highest standards of healthcare
service. Assess patient health status to determine respiratory care
needs. Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
and spirometry. Administer treatments involving the use of oxygen
or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications, or ventilators. Educate
patients and families on lung health, including smoking cessation
when applicable. Regularly inspect, clean, and test respiratory
therapy equipment. Document patient care efficiently and comply
with all legal and hospital regulations. Collaborate with
healthcare team to plan and modify patient treatment plans as
indicated. Strong proficiency in diagnosing and treating
respiratory conditions Ability to operate and maintain all
respiratory equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Medical

Current state license as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National
Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
