preferredExperience/Qualifications: RN- Current RN licensure in the
state of Florida, American Heart Association BLS Certification for
Healthcare Providers, Chemotherapy/Bio-Therapy Certification within
90 days of hire, OCN Certification preferred, at least one (1) Year
of Experience Position SummaryThe RN applies nursing process and
theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical
sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing,
evaluating, and modifying patient care utilizing evidence based
practices. The RN practice autonomously within professional nursing
standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights. The
RN strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in
accordance with the Florida Nursing Practice Act and the
Hospital/departmental policies. The RN ensures practice is in
accordance with competency required for that area. This position is
accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self
(or others who are under RN’s direction). This is done through
participation in quality assurance or performance improvement
initiatives. The RN provides care in a collaborative manner with
other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care
and outcomes. In managing patient care the RN will take a
leadership role coordinating the interdisciplinary team working in
collaboration with other health team members to enhance patient
outcomes. The RN has a responsibility to act as educator to their
peers, patients, and their families. All aspects of the RN
performance supports service excellence and a healing environment.
The RN identifies and communicates needed unit resources or
equipment to be included in budget. Performs other duties as

RequirementsHand and Wrist (Test both left and right sides). Grip a
dynamometer for 10 seconds with a force > 10 lbs. Pinch together
the thumb & forefinger for 10 seconds with a force > 2 lbs.
Supported Elbows (Test both left and right sides) Rotate wrist from
left to right while holding 5 lb. weight. Fully flex and extend
elbow while holding a 5 lb. weight. Shoulders (Test both left and
right sides). Able to reach overhead (shoulder flexion > 135).
Legs Squat. Kneel on a single knee, demonstrated on either left or
right knee. Push and Pull Push a stationary loaded cart with a
pushing force of 20 lbs. Pull a stationary loaded cart with a
pulling force of 20 lbs. Carrying Carry a 10 lb. weight for a
distance of 25 feet. Lifting Floor to Table/Table to Floor 20 lbs.
requirement. Table to above shoulder height 10 lbs. requirement
Threshold RequirementsThese threshold requirements are required and
completed yearly basis. Annual Joint Commission mandatory education
requirements, in-service and health requirements including
attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD Surveillance Program
and Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or
certification(s).
