Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience. 1 year of neuro/stroke experience. 2 previous travel assignments. License: Must hold an active RN license. Certifications: ACLS BCLS NIHSS PALS TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: Experience with level 1 resuscitation patients. No locals must be greater than 30 miles from facility. Description: The role requires providing care in a fast-paced emergency department. Staffing ratios are typically 1:5, but may increase in emergent situations. Traverse across similar units as required. Mandatory floating within scope is required. Travelers are expected to comply with holiday and scheduling requirements. Compliance with call-out policies is critical for maintaining employment. The department may require working with various patient demographics, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Opportunities for new staff mentorship and precepting may arise. Daily census averages around 92 visits, with specific unit procedures necessary for care delivery. Experience in trauma and emergency care is preferred. Charting utilizes a specific electronic medical record system. Must be equipped to manage diverse patient conditions, including STEMI and stroke care.
