  Shift: Nights - 4x12-Hour Shifts - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Emergency Room RN for a night shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Titusville, Florida. This position requires advanced knowledge in neuro/stroke care, Level 1 trauma response, and the ability to manage critically ill patients. The ideal candidate will have strong resuscitation skills, travel experience, and the ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including both adult and pediatric populations.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical judgment.
  • Respond to Code Blue, STEMI, and trauma alerts.
  • Care for neuro and stroke patients, including post-resuscitation management.
  • Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and perform procedural sedation.
  • Assist with respiratory interventions (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, chest tube management, ABG interpretation).
  • Perform phlebotomy, start IVs, and manage central lines.
  • Accurately interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKGs.
  • Document care using the Meditech charting system. Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2.5 years of Emergency Room RN experience
    • At least 1 year of neuro/stroke experience
    • 2 completed travel assignments required
    • Must live 30+ miles from facility (no locals under 30 miles)
    • Must have experience managing Level 1 resuscitation patients
    • Comfortable floating within scope to other units
    • Available to work every other weekend
    • Ability to work one evening and one holiday if 1-2 holidays fall within the assignment; two holidays if 3 fall within the contract Certifications (Required):
      • ACLS
      • BLS
      • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
