SUMMARY: The Orthopedic and Spine Navigator is responsible for
facilitating and assisting patients through the healthcare
continuum, including the holistic care of patients, enhanced
communication among caregivers and lateral integration of care. The
Navigator should possess a specialized knowledge in horizontal
leadership and is accountable for the management of care and the
care environment. In addition to a professional preparation, the
Navigator shall possess enhanced clinical skills in an orthopedic
unit setting and is responsible for a group of patients in that
setting. The Navigator shall establish a strong partnership with
the nursing and medical staff to deliver optimal care ensuring
safety and quality outcomes. The Navigator shall abide by the ANA
Code of Ethics for Nurses and comply with the Florida Nurse
Practice Act in the overall performance of his/her role. National
Orthopedic Certification is preferred. This role requires you to be
fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal
law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is
approved). HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care
facility accredited by the Joint Commission. Since 1983, HCA
Florida St. Lucie Hospital has provided quality care to the

including a birthing center, cardiac catheterization lab, cancer
care, and breast center. We offer minimally-invasive and robotic
surgery, general and vascular surgery. The Orthopedic and Spine
