St. Lucie Medical Center (SLMC) is a 229-bed acute care facility
accredited by the Joint Commission. Since 1983, St. Lucie has
continually provided quality care to the Treasure Coast community.

cardiac catheterization lab, cancer care, breast center,
minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, general and vascular
surgery. The Orthopedic and Spine Institute offers the latest in

care. St. Lucie is a Certified Primary Stroke Center, as designated
by the Joint Commission, and an American College of Cardiology
accredited Chest Pain Center. Additionally, the Emergency Room at

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) demonstrates critical thinking
skills and sound judgment in the delivery of patient care. Working
under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, the LPN is
responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care to
assigned patient population in accordance with the Florida Nurse
Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques,
policies, procedures, established standards and administrative
policies of the organization.
- Current FL state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing
- Current BLS Certification (American Health Association or
American Red Cross)
- Customer service abilities including effective listening
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to
work with minimal supervision in a
fast paced environment.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing,
bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling,
moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
