Project Engineer (Entry-level Construction Project Management)

Location: Port Saint Lucie (or open to east coast candidates willing to travel 75%)

We're seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team. This entry-level role offers a projected path for growth and graduates with 1+ years of experience are encouraged to apply. You'll provide management oversight for all phases of construction/renovation projects in senior living communities.

Compensation:

• Project Engineer position: $60-80,000 (base)
• Has potential for 15% bonus
• Phone, laptop and iPad provided; monitors for home office if located in specific area
• Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Requirements:
  • Travel up to 75% (if not local to Port Saint Lucie)
  • Access to an airport or excellent highway system for frequent regional travel (if not local to Port Saint Lucie)
  • High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excel proficiency required; Procore a plus
  • Valid driver's license and liability insurance to use personal vehicle for reimbursed travel
  • 1+ years of construction/renovation experience preferred, particularly in multifamily, hospitality, or senior living environments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to understand the interaction between designers and contractors
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups
  • Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Strong knowledge of trade contractors and budgets Responsibilities:
    • Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion
    • Engage local and regional firms for design and construction services
    • Coordinate work of general and subcontractors
    • Oversee trade contractor performance and ensure adherence to specifications and regulations
    • Obtain necessary permits
    • Supervise field crews and correct safety violations or other reported deficiencies
    • Ensure work never negatively impacts residents
    • Track and control construction schedule and costs
    • Report progress and modifications to team members
    • Travel to properties in the region as needed
    • Perform minor construction tasks as needed.
